When humiliation and dehumanization is an everyday occurrence, the word ‘normal’ takes on a meaning foreign to the rest of us.
Our goal is replace the previous everyday experiences of our residents with a world recognizes as ‘normal.’
We present opportunites that will change the trajectory of their thoughts and aspirations.
The Pride of Belonging
‘Belonging’ means different things to the abused. Rather than someone dictating that sense of belonging which is an enslavement in itself, when one is free to determine their own identity, a pride is borne that spurs dreams and aspirations driven from within.
That pride creates an energy and focus that empowers and propels one forward.
The Joy of Choice
Instead of the idea of an asset, we help change the narrative to that of one of choice as a matter of self-identity and of trust of others.
There is a pride that is borne out of that perspective that shines from the inside out. The freedom to choose is both inspiring and the source of rebirth.
